options for dogs who eat too quickly: it's about making it hard for them to gulp down a lot at once.... a) impede their progress by putting something like tennis balls in their normal bowl b) make dinner hard to eat by presenting it in a very thin layer on a very large flat plate, tray or baking sheet c) use something like an ice cube tray so they have to think and work it out d) some common types of bowls can be used upside down ... will find a picture of the sort i mean and paste it into the comments 🙂 ... Dogs put their feet in their water bowl if they feel too warm- so try putting a water bowl outside if you have to get the mop out frequently this summer- helps if they dribble too! (looks at the bearded collies who all have wet chins atm) If one of my plants needs watering, I might put the dogs bowl near it and kill 2 birds with 1 stone. ... See more
